among the clouds

this was taken a few years ago at the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo, MI. there was a tunnel of sorts you had to walk through before you were in the actual museum to see the aircraft. I had to stop the kids and capture the softness, the dreaminess of it. and they both look so darn cute, too.

grandma's hand

this photo of my grandmother's hand is a few years old but I still can't help but to love it. she will be 87 this December...I can remember when I was little, she would always paint my fingernails. she can no longer do this for herself

but she goes every few weeks and gets her own done.

don't they look great?

it is almost as if you can tell the story of her life just by looking at her hand.

at the corner

can you see the stop signs? one at this corner, at the next and even three blocks away...they represent the proverbial stops, or bumps, in our lives. you can move past it but there will always be another one somewhere down the road.

Monday

I have nothing. I will have to look through my saved photos on the computer...

this is from our driving trip through new york state...griffis sculpture park, I think is the name. large sculptures were randomly throughout acres of land. you sort of just wandered around to find them. these were all in a shallow pond...

I am experimenting with black and white.

the following two are the same shot, first in black and white then in color.

the B&W give the photos a different sort of feeling, don't they?

not a very good photo as it was taken from the opposite side of the road from where the horses were. on the way home from the grocery. in a hurry.
